Billy Collins is the kind of guy you'd like to hang out with, go to a game with, play a round of golf with. I read his books cover to cover, usually in one day.

This is absolutely righteous and glorious, Gwendolyn. You perfectly summed up the Broadcast and the bonds it has created among fans of Billy and Suzannah Collins. I still feel a familiar feeling of joy when 5:30 pm rolls around. From day one until this very moment, the pandemic became less a time to be alone and more a moment when poetry fanatics gather to revel in the power and pleasure of words.

These broadcasts (especially the very early ones) were a lifeline during strange and frightening times. Thanks Billy (and Suzannah).

What a delightful description! Thank you, Gwendolyn. I've been with TPB since the beginning. Sitting across from Billy at his desk every day has been the best part of this pandemic year. Just wish the FB police would allow Professor Bebop a little more musical latitude.

I love the Poetry Broadcasts and everything about them. You have captured the spirit perfectly, Gwendolyn. Johnny's watercolour is a masterpiece! Smiled big reading this just like I do on those wonderful days at 5:30 till the closing jazz tune. Billy and Suzannah are the coolest people.

Thank you Dear One. I also have been around since the first broadcast last March. As my spouse and I took new jobs overseas (at retirement age), sold our South Carolina home, gave away cars/trucks/household goods, and tried to settle into Austria during a lockdown, Billy and Suzannah have been our touchstones of sanity. It's also been lovely to find that there is a diverse and global clan that loves language. Together, we could throw one hell of a party. Marcie
